Gender and Sexuality in OST 102 – An Intermediate Course

On May 5, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., ACT Now will be hosting an intermediate course on Gender and Sexuality in the Out-of-School Time space. This in-person training will focus on developing an LGBTQIA+ lens in Out-of-School Time spaces and developing relational and instructional approaches to best practices of inclusion and support. Gender and Sexuality in Out-of-School Time 102 will frame best practices in line with ACT Now’s Quality Standards. Topics will include Health and Safety, Data Collection, Supporting Families, and more!

Please note that while Gender and Sexuality 101 is not a prerequisite this training is specifically designed for those who already have fundamental knowledge regarding the LGBTQIA+ community and the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ youth. This training will have limited capacity in order to facilitate deeper discussions of more advanced topics.
